It just keeps happening; NRL players are being caught up in trouble almost weekly now – even prior to any NRL results being played out. This time, it’s prominent Melbourne Storm and NRL big time star Greg Inglis who has gone the biff with some late night pub goers in Brisbane over the weekend.

The Storm star was slightly injured in the scuffle, in which it’s alleged he was merely a peacekeeper. After being checked up in a nearby hospital – Inglis was reprimanded by the Storm CEO Brian Waldron has said that regardless of Greg Inglis only being a peacekeeper and not an instigator – he was still in the wrong place at the wrong time. Something NRL stars are struggling to understand.

Greg Inglis has stayed home with his NRL teammates in the UK for the World Club Challenge and preparing to take on Super League Champions the Leeds Rhinos.

Inglis has returned to training already and is apparently going to be right for the first round of NRL.

In other news, Bulldogs CEO Malcolm Noad has fallen on his sword and quit the Canterbury club after months of speculation. Its amazing how the NRL competition and its surrounds can generate so much publicity and remain in the news even during the off-season. The likes of Rugby Union would kill for such news worthy stories – something they aren’t too close to doing, on the back of recent form & results.
